Welcome to the OLGC Music Ensembles Program! 

Research has shown that playing music benefits brain development, improving concentration, memory and thinking skills as well as social skills.

Being part of a music ensemble teaches life skills such as teamwork and co-operation and assists students to develop a sense of responsibility to themselves, their ensemble, the school and - in a broader sense - society. 

OLGC employs professional musicians as our Band and Choir Directors, and private instrument & keyboard tutors, and also offers individual and small group lessons on-site during school hours. 

Our Music Ensemble students participate in school and Parish events, music festivals, workshops and public and school performances. 

Children in Years 2-6 are eligible to join one or more of our Music Ensembles (Band & Choir).
