PERFORMANCE Band - DIARY DATES

Week 1:  Rehearsals resume

Week 5: 

 BAND WORKSHOP DAY 2 - "Camp Capy on Campus"   
*Friday 21st August 2026** - Onsite at OLGC -
*8:45am-3:10pm** (Normal School Hours)

NB: there will be an additional fee  - $60 pay via Qkr

'Open rehearsal' Performance at 2:30pm- 2:50pm - parents welcome to attend

Week 7:  

*** Mater Maria College 'Band Day'    - Both Training Band and Performance Band

• Date: Tuesday 1st September, 2026 

• Bus departs OLGC 9am and Returns at 3:30pm

• Concert for Parents at 2:30pm

• Parents welcome to take students home at 3pm.

• No cost / incl. in band fees

• Bring music, instruments, music stand from home, lunch and morning tea.

Week 8: 

 *** Performance - Swane Gardens 'Open Day'   - Both Training Band and Performance Band

• Swane Gardens: 77 Stanhope Rd, Killara. 

• Date: Sunday 13 September, 2026 

• Park Car: 9:20am - 10 minute walk to lawn

• Arrive at Upper Garden/Wedding Lawn: 9:30am

• Performance: 10-11am

• Parents to supervise own child & provide transport to and from Killara

• Free scones for students after the performance 

• Event cancelled if wet weather

• Bring music, instruments, music stand, from home or school

End of Week 9:  

 *** Performance - NSWEE SPRING FESTIVAL - Concourse Chatswood  

• NEW DATES: Sunday 20 September, 2026
  Note: Swain Garden & NSWEE performance are not on the same days this year.

• Event times: 1pm - Concert 2:30-4:30pm

• Venue: The Concourse, Chatswood

• Parents to transport students to & from The Concourse, Chatswood

• Audience members are required to purchase tickets through The Concourse Box Office

• Bring instruments, music, snacks and drink

Week 9:  TBC Morning Assembly Performance - Day TBC

• Event times: Lunchtime

• Venue: Playground

 *** Performance  Whole School "Music Ensembles Assembly" with Choir.  

Date: Thursday November 19, 2026 - "OLGC Music Celebration Day"

• 2027 Demonstration and Recruitment Assembly for 2027
  (students and school staff only)

• Event times: 2 - 3pm 

• Venue: School Hall

 *** Performance "End of Year MEP Showcase" with Choir.  

• End Of Year OLGC MEP Concert - "OLGC Music Celebration Day"
  (all welcome to attend)

• Date: Thursday November 19, 2026 

• Event times:
  Arrival: 6:30pm sharp - (for set up and warm up)
  Concert: 7pm - 8:15pm (assistance requested to pack up afterwards :))

• Venue: School Hall

• Audience:  no tickets required
  Family and friends are warmly welcome to attend.

Northern Beaches Instrumental Festival (NBIF) – Performance Band

Date: Wednesday 27 May (Week 6)
Venue: Killarney Heights High School
Starkey St, Killarney Heights
Please note: venue change from last year (not Pittwater High School)

Event Times
• Arrival: 6:40pm sharp - (for set up and warm up)
• Concert: 7:10pm – 8:50pm

Dress
OLGC full winter uniform and jumpers/jackets (neat hair)

Bring
• Instrument
• Band music & green folder
• Accessories (e.g. spare reeds)

Tickets (at the door only)
• $10 Adult
• $5 Concession
• $20 Family
Valid for the full festival - so if you have children in both the Training Band and Performance Band sessions you only pay once.

Audience
Family and friends are warmly welcome
Students are expected to stay for the full concert

• Please make attendance a priority
